and Sound Instruments
How does Sound Healing Work?
Sound is a bubble. The molecules colliding in it give off energy as infra-red light. As the sound bubble expands and oscillates and interacts with gaseous or liquid or particular matter, it causes the matter to become organized into form. This is how the Big Bang created the Universe over 13 billion years ago. One explosion, one rapid expansion creating pressure waves, acoustic oscillations, that created galaxies.
Scientists converted these early oscillations into audible sound simulations. They are highly coherent and ordered. They resemble deep, resonant tones and slowly evolving harmonics - very much like the sounds we use in a sound bath.
Sound healing is based on the premise that everything is vibration, including our bodies. Every cell emits sound because its membrane vibrates, due to molecular activities. The state of the cell, whether it is healthy or unhealthy, can be determined by its sound.
If we vibrate in a chaotic, unhealthy frequency, we get ill. Introducing consistent, harmonious sound waves into our electro-magnetic fields and bodies entrains our own frequencies, which helps us heal and stay healthy.
Sound vibration pulses are conducted through the water in our cells. In order to form a geometry, or harmony, the cells have to be in resonance with the input frequency. When the whole body is immersed in thousands of frequencies from overtone instruments such as the gong or ancient Himalayan bowls, the cells can take whatever they need. The sinus cavities are excited and produce tons of nitric oxide, which oxygenates the blood, boosts the immune system and rejuvenates the body. The sound vibrations penetrate deep into the tissue and alternatively compress and relax the cells, literally massaging them. This improves blood circulation and metabolism and relieves muscle tension. The nervous system relaxes deeply and can reset. The body comes into homeostasis.
A sound healing can help us enter an altered, more peaceful state of consciousness, similar to a very deep meditation, where we can access our inner stillness and guidance, release outdated programs, beliefs, and stuck emotions and achieve subtle but lasting change and transformation.
Adding the healing properties of stones and crystals as they were used in ancient China in the Daoist tradition, makes this work even more powerful and transformational. The two modalities alchemize together and work on a whole new soul level.

The Gong
The gong is thought to be one of the most powerful and transformational healing instruments in the world and has been used by many cultures for centuries.
The gong produces extremely complex overtones, shifting, unpredictable frequencies, and broad-spectrum vibration. The brain and nervous system rely on stable patterns: emotional habits, muscular holding, identity narratives, trauma loops. These patterns persist because the brain predicts them. When sound becomes intense, multi-layered, and dynamically changing, the predictive system struggles. The usual neural patterns lose stability. The rigid loops loosen. Analytical processing softens, sensory awareness increases, and identity boundaries loosen. The destabilization of patterns is sometimes required for healing. Many describe this as dropping into presence, heart opening, feeling connected to Source. This can lead to sudden emotional release, imagery or memory surfacing, shaking or spontaneous breath changes, with a feeling reset afterwards.
The gong generates powerful, otherworldly, rhythmic waves that bathe the entire body in a cocoon of spiraling sound. In this healing space, there is no separation between the gong and the listener. The listener is literally transported into another dimension.
The gong awakens innate coherence and guides the body to a state of greater balance and harmony. The sound of the gong cuts through mental chatter and quickly creates a meditative state and deep relaxation. Studies have shown that meditative states can alleviate or reverse many disorders and disease states. A gong bath is therefore an excellent remedy for issues caused by stress and anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, addictions, anger and hostility, feelings of fear, separation and loneliness along with many other conditions related to the lack of balance and harmony in the body.
Antique Himalayan Singing Bowls
Ancient Himalayan bowls are made out of rare red copper and tin - live elements that were heated, melted together and hammered by hand into shape and pitch. The makers would take turns - one hammering rhythmically like a metronome, the other turning the bowl. No two are alike. Their sound is a manifestation of this creation. These bowls have been used for hundreds of years for healing, meditation and prayer, so they carry a very magical vibration. They usually have long sustain and many varying overtones - some perfect fourth or fifths and some dissonant - both important for release and harmonizing - as well as pronounced activating rhythms that can entrain the brain into an altered brainwave state. Himalayan singing bowls calm inner chatter and help achieve higher states of consciousness. They can be placed around but also on the body. The amount of vibration they emit is impressive. Good antique bowls are becoming increasingly hard to find, and new ones are mostly factory-made and lack the complexity and energy of their ancient predecessors.
The Monolina
The Monolina is a 34-string monochord that is made in Germany by Feeltone. It creates beautiful, mesmerizing overtones when strummed. The Monolina uniquely features deeper toned octave and fifth strings providing a grounding interval under the higher harmonics, as well as five melody accent notes that can be tuned to a Major or minor pentatonic scale. It is a powerful tool that induces a parasympathetic response, reducing heart rate and blood pressure, and slowing breathing, pulse and brainwave activity.
It facilitates a shift from the busy thinking-and-doing state to a calm feeling-and-being state, thereby promoting relaxation and preparing clients to open to and receive deep healing. With its original boat-like shape on the underside, the Monolina is designed to be utilized therapeutically as a "body monochord" as well, where the practitioner plays it on the receiver’s body and the receiver feels the tones vibrating.
Harmonic Spectrum Tuning Forks
Harmonic Spectrum Tuning Forks are based on Pythagorean intervals, which effect healing and a raise in consciousness. They are tuned to a fundamental frequency of 8 hz - the Schuman resonance - the heartbeat of the planet. There are protocols for Nervous System Balance and Wellbeing, Motivation, Increasing Creativity, Life Direction, Calming Anxiety, Dreaming, Quality Sleep, Digestive Balance, Loss and Grief, and Grounding. Two forks are struck at the same time, creating an interval or sonic space between the two forks. Each Pythagorean interval has unique qualities with different effects. When the listener enters the sonic space of an interval, they experience a pulse that entrains the whole body and simultaneously tunes the nervous system. Within seconds there is a shift in consciousness with a new mental, emotional and physical pattern.
The Osteophonic (Otto) Tuning Forkshave weights and vibrate on body. They balance the autonomic nervous system and work on the peripheral nerves, joint mobility, circulation, pain and allow the pelvic floor to relax and the Kundalini to rise.
